Recording of VDI Congress with Netviewer Present

Category: events, netviewer, presentWidmann @ 11:39 am

we did broadcast another event with Netviewer Present, the VDI Conference in Baden-Baden.

We are extremely happy that everything worked fine, except that 2 presentations were swapped without warning. That did bring some adrenalin in our venes because we had to switch to another presentation in the Present Livestudio within seconds…

One of the biggest issues on event coverage is still the light, because most of the time the moderator moves. Very often the moderators walks out of the light into the shade. It´s difficult for us to avoid that because the lightning is done by the local organization.

VDI was very happy with the result of the broadcasting and we talk already of broadcasting another event together in April.

Here is a link to one of the recorded VDI sessions:

Recording of do it. conference with Netviewer Present

Category: events, netviewer, presentSandra @ 11:31 am

Two weeks ago, we were at the do it. conference in Stuttgart. We were curious about what would expect us behind the motto “where creativity meets technology”.

Therefore, we participated at the opening speech of Klaus Haasis (director of MFG Baden Württemberg). He talked about seven trends for the digital future. After that, we visited the “trends of online communication” panel. The most interesting presentation for us was the one from Prof. Dr. Ralf Schengber (Uni Münster). He introduced community marketing to us. Really, well worth seeing him in action! Also thrilling was the discourse of René Marius Köhler, the young CEO of fahrrad.de. He told us how he build up his company and how to grow successfully.

In order to give you the chance to participate as well, we streamed some of the (German speaking) presentations with Netviewer Present. You can see them here.

Web 2.0 expo in New York

Category: events, examplesUlrike @ 10:14 am

Yesterday started the web 2.0 expo in New York City. They opened up with a bunch of workshops covering very basic questions of enterprise 2.0, designing communities, next generation web applications, mobile and social web architecture.

Today the conference will start with a real highlight: Jason Fried, 37signals’ president and founder, will share valuable lessons, insightful observations, and the unconventional—sometimes controversial—marketing, business, and product development strategies that have made 37signals one of most influential and successful companies in the Web 2.0 arena.

Topics include tips on collaboration, team size, product road maps, sound decision making, boosting productivity, simplicity vs. clarity vs. complexity, the power of less, copywriting, key questions you should always be asking, and avoiding words that damage morale, make projects late, and inflame the wrong passions.

Jason’s trademark straight-ahead, no BS style is sure to make this session one of the most memorable of the conference.

We most likey will livestream it at 4 pm MEZ with netviewer present (I have to doublecheck with the organizer if livestreams are allowed). If not, we will try to catch him for an interview. We will definitely have Tim o’Reilly, creator of the term web 2.0, for an interview today. Another highlight of the day will be Gary Vaynerchuk, founder of the Wine Library TV (WLTV), a free daily video blog in which Gary tastes and reviews wines. Gary unleashed the same passion and gusto to building the WLTV brand (now affectionately known as “The Thunder Show”) that he had previously brought to his business, with even more far-reaching results.

We will produce a daily livestream at 7 pm MEZ. You can watch it here.
